Fan Control and Options

Fan speed is controlled by temperature, actual minimums dependent on fan ability.


The Colorful C.B360M-HD Deluxe V20 just has two fan headers. One for the CPU cooler and another for the system. There are some basic fan-control options within the simplified BIOS, and a page where manual settings can be set is buried within the menus of the advanced BIOS. The manual settings are awkward, dealing directly in PWM values instead of percentages. There is no fan-control software available for adjustments from within the OS.


The CPU fan header is in the top-right, and the system fan header is in the middle-left of the board.

While I am willing to accept the limited fan-control options, I do feel that two fan headers is not enough. I think that there should be a minimum of three, preferably four headers on any board regardless of form factor or price point. The Colorful C.B360M-HD Deluxe V20 certainly falls short of its contemporaries in this area.
