The Cooler Master GD120 ARGB is good quality, but but on the expensive side for a gaming desk. The price of most products has gone through the roof during this challenging period because of enormous logistical costs, so if you can postpone some of your purchases, it could be worth waiting. However, no one can tell you for sure when prices will start dropping again.
For users wanting a small desk for a single large monitor or two smaller ones along with a full-sized keyboard, a microphone and a medium-size sound system (sound bar and two speakers), the GD120 will be enough. Not all of us have the luxury of large offices or spaces, so mid-sized desks come in handy, with around 120 mm in length. The GD120 can also be used in a business environment, and during working hours, you could switch off RGB lighting.
The purple strips on both sides and the black color remind me of Cooler Master's color scheme, so that it will match nicely with the rest of the brand's peripherals. The ARGB strip can also be adjusted to follow the style of the company's peripherals, which is a great feature. However, the control software is not compatible with Linux and Mac operating systems. My main problem with this product is the desk's black surface, a fingerprint magnet. You will have to either use it with gloves (I am joking of course) or clean it frequently, unless you don't mind staring at fingerprints. On the other hand, this can be a safety measure. You will immediately notice if someone has been using your desk (and system) while you were away! In any case, CM should do something about this issue, which will trouble many users. Despite this serious flaw, I liked the GD120, so I already found a nice spot to install it in our new lab in Cyprus.
