A Closer Look
The Hyper 212X features a simplistic design that makes use of fifty seven aluminum fins that draw the heat from the four Ø6 mm heatpipes.
If you wanted to see the poster child for standard tower coolers, this is it right here. No fancy frilly additions or crazy designs, there is just the bog-standard tower cooler that makes use of direct contact heatpipes.
The only features on the top plate are the Cooler Master logo and a few x-vents for better cooling performance on an otherwise bog-standard design. The heatpipes are set up in a traditional U-shape and feature a gap-less base for better contact and less wasted surface area. When it comes to the base itself, it certainly isn't much to look at since the copper, while mostly smooth to the touch, lacks polish and has visible machining marks. That said, neither should impact performance.
Cooler Master paired the Hyper 212X with a Blade Master 120mm fan with a PWM range of 600-1700 RPM.
