The Corsair 4000D Airflow is an absolutely beautiful case. I am always one for understated, clean, and straight lines in the design, so the chassis tickles all my fancies the right way. The clean metal front panel, beautifully aligned and clean glass side panel, and attention to details on the exterior with the yellow accents, silicone tab, and triangular grill design are beautiful.
All that focus on attention to detail is quite the different approach to many brands right now, who clearly try to include as many functional features as possible in that same $80–$100 price range. Seeing enclosures with up to five fans, plenty of RGB elements and controls, among fan hubs, has become quite the norm. While all this is missing in the 4000D Airflow with its two fans and lack of extras, the overall construction quality and cohesive presentation goes a long way to sway any potential buyer. Buying this case as a base and then decking it out with the fans and cooling elements you like should be a pretty attractive premise to many. For those who want more out of the box, the ARGB variant does offer some of the aforementioned elements for a small price premium to get you started.
If there is something to critique, it is the functional features you can't expand. I would have liked to see two USB 3.0 ports as you are loosing those with the motherboard connector otherwise. Also, while the window fits beautifully, the tint is just a bit too heavy in my opinion.
That said, you get an absolutely beautiful and capable case for the price. While Corsair does not push the envelope with unique features, the 4000D Airflow feels solid inside and out, and the attention to detail really shows as well.
