Additional Corsair Components
Corsair RM650x
Corsair has also provided us with a fully modular power supply in the Corsair RM650x, which, as the name implies, provides 650 watts and is 80 Plus Gold certified. The unit ships in a full-color box with an image of the PSU on front and plenty of details about its capabilities and silent operation on the back.
Besides the power supply itself, you will receive the mandatory power cable, some zip ties, mounting screws, and a small adhesive-equipped plaque to put on your case. A thick, multi-lingual manual and some warranty information have also been included.
The cables for the unit are a combination of sleeved ones for CPU, GPU and motherboard and flat variants for any drives. A bag allows you to store all unused cables easily should you need them for future changes in your system configuration.
The Corsair RM650x ships with a gray-bladed 140 mm fan within a housing that sports a unique-looking fan grill. A sticker listing the unit's specifications has been put on the bottom, and a large sticker on each side lets any curious onlookers know exactly which PSU and capacity has been installed.
There is a physical on/off switch next to the power input, as well as a little badge to communicate the model name from this angle as well. All the connectors on the interior are flush with the housing and labeled clearly.
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
On top of that, Corsair provided a 2x 8 GB dual-channel DDR4 kit of their Dominator Platinum sticks. While our sample clocks in at 3200 MHz, you may naturally pick from a slew of different configurations for the memory. These also come packaged in a full-color cardboard wrap that holds the foam inlay in place, which in turn keeps each module in place securely.
The sticks are both tall and heavy, with the RGB element run along the top edge of each stick and shining through each of the squares on that ledge once turned on.
