HandBrake Encoding
I started using the most recent version of Handbrake, which offers a pretty decent performance boost over previous versions. This means that, at the same time, hardware requirements are a bit less than they were before with memory still affecting performance. Of course, the Corsair kit provides a slightly better performance.
CineBench Encoding
Cinebench showed a nearly three FPS gain in 3D performance. Things were different on the CPU side of things, however, with the G.SKill kit being faster. Again, an odd result, but one that I feel confident about due to the fact that the G.SKill kit is single-sided, and this Corsair kit has twice the capacity with four double-sided sticks instead of two single-sided sticks.
3DMark11
3DMark11 showed the Corsair kit the fastest yet again, adding 175 points compared to the G.SKill kit.
PCMark 7
I decided to include PCMark07 because I used 3DMark and differences are notable, even here. PCMark tests various desktop-related tasks, like browsing, video playback, and storage performance. I'm not exactly sure what to conclude from this test, but it is information just the same.
Shogun 2 CPU Bench
Shogun2 is my new favorite bench, being quite sensitive to CPU and memory speed changes even after the most recent updates that enabled Flash. If anything, performance matters even more in the newest versions of this game with usable army size having been increased. Here, the Corsair kit pulls ahead of the other kits again.
