Wireless Performance

The Corsair HS75 XB Wireless is a licensed Xbox headset, which means it uses the Xbox wireless adapter to wirelessly connect to the Xbox or PC. This adapter is integrated into every Xbox console and can be bought as a $25 accessory should you want to connect the HS75 XB to your PC. If using Xbox wireless gamepads on your PC, you already own the wireless adapter and don't need to get another one—the HS75 XB gaming headset and Xbox gamepad will happily connect to the same adapter.

They establish a 2.4 GHz radio connection, which works with no perceivable lag in sound output or microphone input. Having the headset and a gamepad connected at the same time also doesn't introduce any additional lag on either, which I've tested by simultaneously using the Corsair HS75 XB Wireless and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. The wireless connection is robust and perfectly stable within the specified range of 10 meters.

Battery Life

Corsair claims up to 20 hours of battery life. In my testing, I was able to get even more out of it as it took between 22–23 hours of fairly loud wireless playback to drain the built-in battery. The headset doesn't have a wired connection you can fall back on in case its battery drains, but it can be charged and used at the same time.
