A Closer Look

Corsair's H150i Pro, like many other liquid coolers before it, uses an aluminium radiator. It has a fins-per-inch (FPI) count of 21, and to make the most of that surface area requires high static pressure fans or high RPM fans. Other than that, it's a relatively thin (27 mm thick) 360 mm radiator. The braided tubing looks quite nice and is definitely a step up compared to plain black tubing and a massive upgrade compared to corrugated tubing, which is just plain ugly.

The pump block is still, well, blocky and square. A gray ring surrounds the illuminated area when the unit is on. Wiring for the fans and pump are placed between the two swivel fittings on the block. Meanwhile, the Corsair Link port is located on the opposite side. The copper cold plate is round and, with the pre-applied thermal compound removed, very smooth. While machine marks are visible, they could not be felt by hand.

When it comes to fans, Corsair has finally decided to utilize their ML series fans which feature a magnetic levitation bearing design. They feature a PWM RPM range of 400-1600 and a maximum CFM of 47.3.
