Build Quality and Comfort

The Immersa Pro sports a dual-headband design, which I'm a huge fan of as it usually translates into exceptional comfort. The inner headband - the one that carries most of the headset's weight - is mounted onto a couple of wires. It's covered in pleather, slightly padded, and is very flexible. You literally won't feel it sitting on your head regardless of how long your gaming sessions usually are.

The outer headband consists of two metal tubes which connect the ear cups. They're rubberized, painted orange, and feel extremely robust. Absolutely no ringing noise is being transferred from the outer headband or any other part of the headset, for that matter, and into the ear cups.

The cushions are covered in pleather and are soft, but not too soft, so your head will never touch any of the headset's hard parts. They surround the ears completely regardless of their size; it's a true over-ear design indeed. Each ear cup has been affixed to a joint, which allows it to move in all directions and naturally adjust to the shape of anyone's head. Due to the tightness of the seal between the head and ear pads, the ears can get slightly warm during longer gaming sessions, which could pose a problem during the summer months if your home isn't air-conditioned.

The headset's clamping force is well adjusted too, ensuring a combination of perfect stability and absolute comfort. Generally, I'm quite impressed by the build quality and comfort of the Cougar Immersa Pro. If those are the areas you're most concerned about when choosing your next headset, don't contemplate for a second - the Immersa Pro will satisfy you completely.
