Introduction

The $130 Creative Pebble X Plus is the latest and most ambitious addition to Creative's popular Pebble PC speaker lineup. It was launched together with the Pebble X, which omits the small subwoofer and drops the price down to $90. While sticking with the familiar angled design, both new speakers come equipped with slightly larger full-range drivers and more powerful digital amplifiers, giving them up to 60 W of peak RMS power.



Both new Pebble X speaker sets sport an elaborate RGB lighting system, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and 3.5 mm analog connectivity, as well as a headphone output and a microphone input port, which means you can—to a certain extent—treat them as a handy external USB sound card, too. Also, both are accessible through the Creative App, available for both Windows and macOS, where you can tune their sound performance and RGB effects, update the firmware, as well as activate various DSP technologies, which Creative is known for. There's also a mobile Android/iOS variant of the Creative App, albeit with a very limited feature set.
