Maximum Overclock
The pre-programmed SPD information the Crucial Ballistix Sport XT sticks use is fairly extensive, offering options for many other lower CAS settings and lower frequencies.
As I mentioned earlier, the XMP profile features similar information, making it rather redundant. What IS interesting, however, is that it uses the same 1.5V, and when I began overclocking, I found that anything more than that didn't really help me push any farther.
I managed to hit 2133 MHz with loosened timings, but increasing the voltage wasn't needed at all. I could boot higher and with tighter timings by increasing the voltage, but getting full stability beyond 2133 MHz was difficult. I've had this chip all the way up to 3400 MHz with relative ease and was able to repeat the 3400 MHz clock of my chip after completing this round of testing, so these number are entirely up to the DIMMs themselves, or perhaps the BIOS. 2400 MHz booted easily, but I spent a lot of time trying to get it stable without any success. It was good enough to run a few benchmarks, but that was about it.
