Installation
First things first, the backplate needs to be prepared by placing the screws into their proper locations.
Now, put the backplate into place on the motherboard and affix the plastic pillars. With that done, apply some thermal paste in preparation for mounting the heatsink.
Now, get the X-bar into position over the screws. With everything in place, use a screwdriver to tighten the screws down through the back of the motherboard until the heatsink is securely seated on the motherboard.
All that remains now is to attach the fan and plug it into the motherboard's CPU fan header.
CRYORIG's "X-bar" quick-mounting system makes installing the H7 fairly easy since there are hardly any screws, bolts, or other miscellaneous items. However, it is not as easy to work with as their MultiSeg mounting scheme. On a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest), I would rate this cooler's installation a 9. Not perfect, its installation is still far from troublesome.
