Danger Den Tyee GPU Waterblock Review

Value and Conclusion

  • The Tyee sells for a hefty $124.95 US Dollars, but that is about the same as other full-coverage GPU waterblocks. The card can be prepped for Crossfire for $4.99 more, and the Voltage Regulator and Master Encoder Heat Bridges cost an additional $9.99 each.
  • Delivers the incredible performance you’d expect from Danger Den
  • Modular design allows v-reg and Master Encoder chip cooling
  • Takes up less space than the stock cooler and many aftermarket ones
  • Perpendicular barbs allow for easier installations, especially in Crossfire
  • Complicated installation
  • No spacers to prevent improper installation
  • Expensive
Although there were a few minor issues, the finish of the block is excellent. Installation was complicated, but something that should be straight-forward enough for experienced users. Danger Den’s perpendicular barb design makes it so much easier to run tubing compared to a traditional GPU block's parallel barb design.

When it comes to performance the Tyee didn't disappoint. The load temps with the Tyee were less than the idle temps with good air cooling. If you have the money to spend on a cooler this good I can only recommend buying the Tyee.
