The DeepCool AS500 Plus WH is identical to the AS500 except for the color scheme and extra fan. This means the heatsink is the same dense fin stack comprised of 56 aluminium fins. Said fins are kept properly spaced with a folded down center tab on each side. It adds rigidity to the fins and helps direct airflow through the heatsink rather than allowing the conical shape of the fan's airflow to escape out the side, at least as much as it would with the fins were completely open. In addition, a center cut-out keeps the ARGB wiring from interfering with the front fan while also keeping it hidden from view.
The original AS500 with its single fan and single-tower heatsink array with five ⌀6 mm heatpipes was rated as capable of handling up to 220 watts, which was rather impressive. However, on the AS500 Plus, DeepCool didn't bother providing a TDP rating. To be blunt, a TDP rating is useless for assessing performance anyway. However, considering how big a marketing point it has been and continues to be for some brands, I am still surprised to see no mention of it.
As you may have guessed, the AS500 Plus WH is a white edition cooler. As such, the ARGB top plate also being white only makes sense. My photos do not do the cooler justice, but the white is bright and clean, which should allow for the simple ARGB lighting setup to truly shine. Meanwhile, the five U-shaped heatpipes are spaced for even heat distribution through the fins. As for the base, it has visible machining marks; however, it is smooth to the touch, with the base very slightly convex.
The two TF140S PWM fans bundled with the cooler are optimized for a quiet operation with an RPM range of 500–1200. Regarding airflow, the fans are rated to deliver up to 70.81 CFM each and use a fluid dynamic bearing (FDB).
