Installation
To install the Gamer Storm Assassin, users will need to prepare the backplate by putting the screw bolts into the proper holes. Now, slide the de-vibration buckles into place. Doing so will keep the bolts from moving around, which makes installation much easier. Once the backplate is fully assembled, slide it into place.
Take the four black spacers and put them in place over the screw bolts. After that, slide the mounting arms into place before tightening the nuts to make sure the arms are securely fastened.
Carefully apply an adequate amount of thermal paste to the IHS. Now, holding the retention plate to the cooler's base, line it up with the holes on each mounting arm and tighten it down. This can be a bit tricky, and I would like to see Deepcool take a page out of Noctua's book by including a screwdriver to make the process easier.
All that remains is to attach the fans using the included fan clips. Once this is done, simply plug the fans into the CPU fan headers to complete the installation process.
The mounting hardware provided with the Gamer Storm Assassin by Deepcool is easy and straightforward. A few improvements, such as an included screwdriver, could be made, but it is still easy to work with overall. Having said that, I would rate the installation process for the Gamer Storm Assassin a 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
