Installation
You will want to get the backplate ready first. Start by sliding the backplate's screws into place, and use the plastic buckles to hold them in place.
It is now time to prepare the pump for mounting. Grab the proper mounting brackets, in my case Intel's, and use the small silver screws to secure them to the pump. Now is also a good time to install the fans in order to prepare the radiator for mounting inside a case.
Put the backplate into its proper position and use the rubber washer to hold it in place.
It is now time to carefully apply an adequate amount of thermal paste to the CPU's IHS, before placing the pump on the CPU; secure the pump to the motherboard with the thumbscrews Deepcool included.
You will only have to connect the pump to the motherboard now. Connect the fans to the PWM splitter and, from there, to the motherboard. With that done, the Deepcool Gamer Storm Captain 360 is ready to go!
Installing the Captain 360 was a breeze. The only issue I have is that the PWM fan splitter uses a single fan header to power three fans. I would have rather seen a SATA power or molex connector for it instead. Other than that, I feel as though the cooler could benefit from better mounting pressure, much like the Maelstrom units. With everything said and done, I would rate its installation an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
