Installation
The first thing you will want to do is to get the backplate ready. Start by sliding the backplate screws into place and using the plastic buckles to hold them there. With that done, simply fit the backplate to the motherboard.
It is now time to get the pump ready for mounting. Grab the proper mounting brackets, in my case Intel's, and, using the small silver screws, secure them to the pump. Now is also a good time to install the fans to prepare the radiator for mounting inside a case.
Carefully apply an adequate amount of thermal paste to the IHS and place the Maelstrom's pump down onto the CPU, securing it in place with Deepcool's included thumbscrews.
All that remains is to attach the fan and pump headers to the motherboard to complete the install.
The mounting hardware Deepcool provided with the Gamer Storm Maelstrom 240 is fairly easy to use. Only the mounting bracket's four screws were a pain due to the size of my fingers as I tried to hold these tiny things. Still, the mounting hardware is good overall. That said, I would rate the Gamer Storm Maelstrom 240's installation an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
