Software
Compared to recent Dream Machines releases, the software for the DM2 Supreme looks a bit different. However, in terms of functionality it's basically the same and working as expected. The first page, "Mouse Macros," doesn't contain the macro function, but CPI adjustment (six color-coded levels, 200–16,000 CPI, increments of 50 CPI) and button remapping (including keyboard, media, macro, and shortcut functions). The second page, "Settings," then includes the macro editor, basic Windows pointer settings, LOD adjustment (low/high), and polling rate adjustment (125/250/500/1000 Hz). Curiously, the "cancel" button does not cancel the software or any setting changes, but reverts all settings to the factory default instead. On my system, the software had a RAM footprint of 60 MB on average.
Lighting
The DM2 Supreme has three non-independent zones for RGB lighting in total, which are the scroll wheel, logo, and CPI buttons. There is only one lighting effect: a basic breathing effect. Different colors can be assigned to different CPI levels, but that is pretty much the extent of the available options. Furthermore, there is no way to disable the lighting altogether.
Color accuracy and vibrancy are decent. Here's a short demonstration video of the default (and only) lighting effect:
