Installation

When it comes to installing the Enermax LIQMAX 120S, users will need to start with the pump. First, prepare the mounting arms by sliding them into place on the pump/block.

Now, put the backplate into place and use the stand-offs to secure it, before applying some thermal paste in preparation to mounting the block itself.

Take the pump and place it on the CPU, with the brackets slid over the four screws. Using the spring-loaded thumbscrews, tighten the pump down and onto the socket. This was harder than expected, but don't get discouraged as it only takes a little bit of extra elbow grease to secure the pump.

To finish its installation, attach the fan to the radiator and plug the pump and fan into the motherboard's CPU fan headers.

Thanks in part to its simple design, installation was very quick, but somewhat painful. The LIQMAX 120S's mounting pressure is amazing, but it makes for a tough install due to the amount of force required while screwing the spring screws into the stand-offs. So while i wouldn't call its installation hard, I was rather surprised by the amount of force I had to apply, which is why I rate the installation procedure a 7 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
