Shape

The shape of the Helios XD3 V2 is virtually identical to that of the Zowie S2. Almost all of the dimensions are a match with the exception of length, as the Helios XD3 V2 is a bit shorter, which in turn results in a slightly more squashed and stockier appearance. Due to the shorter length, the hump curvature is ever so slightly different, but even minute details such as the side curvature, how the main buttons create a ledge on each side, or how deep the comfort grooves on the main buttons are, have been recreated very closely. Compared to other S2-inspired (using "inspired" very loosely here) designs, such as the AQIRYS T.G.A., the Helios XD3 V2 is among the most faithful. Overall, a tried and tested shape that works well in practice.


As for grip styles, I'd say the Helios XD3 V2 mostly suits claw and fingertip grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Helios XD3 V2 very comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Fantech Helios XD3 V2 and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
