The pleasant surprise of 2016, Shadow Warrior 2 is a slick, visceral FPS/melee-combat roller-coaster ride that gets its gameplay elements delicately right. You play as a modern-day ninja warrior who battles demons solo or in cooperative multiplayer, fighting demons from another dimension. The "ninjas vs. monsters" concept is rarely explored, and only a few games got it right. Shadow Warrior 2 is among the lot.
Based on the Road Hog engine, Shadow Warrior 2 takes advantage of DirectX 11 and is moderately taxing on today's hardware.
