The Board - Layout

The tiny Gigabyte Z77N-WiFi is a mad mix of parts all crammed together on the black PCB's surface, on both the front and back, as is the case with any mITX product. Its small size means that everything is pretty close together, and expansion possibilities are a bit limited, but it does pack a ton of features.

The socket is located close to the bottom right of the board itself, with the dual DIMM slots and single PCIe slot framing it in.

The pin headers for the Gigabyte Z77N-WiFi are spread all over the board, with the front panel audio pins near the rear I/O audio tower and USB, front panel button, and LED headers on the top edge of the board, near the SATA ports. There are only two fan headers on the Gigabyte Z77N-WiFi, both of which are 4-pin PWM headers.

Speaking of SATA ports, there are four total ports on the Gigabyte Z77-WiFi: two black SATA 3 Gb/s ports and two white SATA 6 Gb/s ports. The backplate is mostly occupied by dual HDMI, DVI, and Wireless antennae ports and a quartet of USB 2.0 ports, a duo of USB 3.0, and a PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse port. The audio tower is populated with five analogue ports and a single optical digital audio port.
