Packaging and Accessories

Glorious used a combination of white, black, and orange with the GMMK PRO and other accessories, so seeing those colors for the packaging of the new GMMK 2 didn't surprise. If anything, it made me wonder why pink rather than orange was the third color. On the front is the new logo to go with the product name and some salient marketing features, and a render of the keyboard partly shown confirms the color of the unit inside. More product information and renders are on the back and sides, including a handy "What's in the box" section. There is still some of the PC Gaming Race persona, with the company asking you to ascend by opening the box that is otherwise kept closed by two seals and a double-flap on the side.

Opening the box, we see the keyboard inside a foam wrap, with a plastic cover over it, which also prevents dust from accumulating on the keyboard. Cardboard all around adds protection to the keyboard on its way to you, and the included accessories are either underneath or in a separate compartment to the top. A short user manual on the bottom replaces the standalone brochure, but there's still a multi-language quick start guide that is mostly irrelevant in the absence of any covered pre-programmed functions. Glorious also includes a sticker, greeting card, and expected Type-C to Type-A keyboard cable in a matching black. The gold-plated connectors add oxidation resistance, and orange is again used via plastic inserts.

There are two small plastic zip-lock bags in the top compartment with the cable, and these ensure the GMMK 2 is not lacking in anyway compared to the original GMMK. These contain a replacement Esc keycap in its ABS doubleshot glory, black to match this particular keyboard, plastic ring-style keycap puller, and cheap switch remover. Both tools are of the bare minimum functionally. A metal wire remover would have been nice, but I imagine the company had to go this route to hit the price point.
