Assembly

As the tray can be taken out, we have installed the board outside of the chassis. It is secured traditionally with mainboard spacers and screws. Placing the tray back into the Ra X10 does not pose a problem even with a large CPU cooler. You do not need to tilt or turn the tray, simply put it straight in, push it toward the back of the case and secure it with the thumb screw - done. As you can see, there is plenty of space, even for the biggest boards or graphic cards.

Installing the hard drives is quite easy. Simply place the rails on the drive and slide it into place. You will not require any tools when inserting the external devices either. Ikonik has created a simple push and release mechanism to remove the front covers of the bays - simply ingenious! After taking them off, just slide in the drive, push the lock button and the drive is secured.

Installing the PSU is done with normal screws. Fitting it in its place is quite tight, but the design gives you the possibilty to use any PSU, no matter how long it is. The only downside - as it is with the Zara series - is the fact that the PSU will cover the top fans, limiting their use severely.

Once everything is installed, you can see, that there is barely any cable mess - mostly thanks to the clean routing from the pre-installed fans. There is still an insane amount of space within the chassis, so you should have no problems reaching everything, even when it is filled completely.

Finished Looks

The last step was to connect a single Molex connector to the SIM module and powering up the machine. The unit starts up really loud, but quiets down a bit, but nonetheless, you should change the configuration within Windows and the SIM software to further reduce the overall noise level of the chassis. The front fan shimmers through the open areas of the door and looks great at that.

Both sides have lighting elements. The one with the window lets light from the all the fans through, as well as from the mainboard. The Foxconn Bloodrage has quite a few stong LEDs. The side fans can also be clearly seen when turned on.

The same goes for the rear of the Ra X10. The case should turn a lot of heads at a LAN party, as there is really no other case out there with such unique fan placement. Then giving you the ability to suddenly control the units with a click of the mouse should impress the crowd even more.
