In Win GreenMe 650 W Review

Value and Conclusion

  • The In Win GreenMe 650 W retails for $84.99
  • High price/performance ratio
  • Strong +12V rail
  • Decent voltage regulation at +12V
  • Fairly good efficiency at low loads
  • Low phantom power
  • Ripple at +12V during the full load test
  • Only two PCIe connectors
  • Short cables
  • Few 4 pin Molex connectors
The GreenMe 650 manages to score an extra high price/performance ratio thanks to the aggressive pricing by In Win. As you can see in our "Performance per Dollar" graph, the GreenMe unit takes fifth place, beating numerous PSUs from all categories, something that is definitely not to be taken lightly. Surely, its overall performance is far from ground-breaking, but still satisfactory since it manages to register good voltage regulation at +12V, has decent efficiency at normal loads, fairly good efficiency at loads lower than 20% of its max rated capacity, and ripple suppression which, although not top notch, especially at full load, won't cause any problems.

To conclude, I think that In Win managed to build a decent PSU with a budget price that significantly raises its price/performance ratio. This is good news for the budget-oriented user who doesn't mind the lack of modular cables and needs a low-cost, branded PSU to power a mainstream system. The white paint-job also grants the GreenMe 650 W a nice appearance which makes it stand out over dark colored PSUs.
