Keynote 2
Keynote 2 continued to talk about Intel's new Core architecture. One of the interesting slides was Intel's roadmap up to Q4 2006 - Clovertown as well as Intel's "Extreme" Quad core offering were slated for Q4, words are turning into actions as we speak. Quad core CPUs are likely to be the thing to have next year, as Intel plans to introduce a Quad core CPU for us mortals that won't cost an arm and a leg. Towards the end of the keynote, notebook technology was discussed. NAND should be the ticket to high performance laptop computing, offering shorter load times for apps, as well as shorter times for resuming from hibernate.
Lastly, Intel's OLPC (one laptop per child) project was discussed.
