Introduction

LETSHUOER Logo

LETSHUOER, formed in 2016, was until a rebranding exercise very recently simply known as Shuoer, or Shuoer Acoustic. Perhaps too many people mistook the brand for Shure, but who's to say? Regardless, it's been on the corner of my eye ever since I first published a tribrid IEM review with the ThieAudio Monarch, whereby many kept telling me I simply had to try the LETSHUOER EJ07. That particular model was a limited edition take on the tribrid philosophy by LETSHUOER, who then made the EJ07M later in 2021, with the "M" standing for mass-produced. This new EJ07M is manufactured in larger batches to bring down costs, comes in two designs to choose from, changes the resin shell for metal, and even addresses some of the tuning issues the EJ07 seemingly suffered from. Thanks to LETSHUOER for providing TechPowerUp a review sample!

I had teased the EJ07M in the XENNS UP review which is somewhat of a spoiler since I mentioned how I prefer the EJ07M to the XENNS UP. But there remains plenty more to discuss on whether the EJ07M is good to begin with at all, and we also examine one of the two designs in detail. Seen above is the one utilizing carbon fiber with gold specks for the face plate, the one I was originally planning to have for review before the second, more colorful version showed up. The EJ07M is also different from the other two tribrid IEMs reviewed to date in that LETSHUOER has gone with four electrostatic (electret) tweeter drivers, which is twice as many as the other two, so there are some lofty expectations set forth by the company. Let's go through all this in our review which begins with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
