The Logitech G305 arrives in a small box with a protective cardboard structure inside. The exterior itself is not too minimalistic, but isn't overly crowded with pictures and information either. It's a bit of both instead, with a few render pictures and the usual technical specifications. The contents of this box are the Logitech G305 mouse, an extension cord for the wireless receiver, an AA battery, and a quick-start guide. The wireless receiver is inside the mouse; once you remove the top cover, you can access it, and place the battery.
Shape
There is a high chance the design might be familiar: the G305 is of almost the exact same shape as the G102, G203, and wired G Pro models. This mouse shell is a bit controversial among mouse enthusiasts. Many people dislike it because of the convex side areas since they tend to not help a lot with providing a nice and steady grip, especially when one lifts the mouse up a lot. Of course, this may vary from user to user, and I would consider the shell of a generally safe shape because there are essentially no parts that would force your hand or fingers into a specific position. I, for instance, was able to use this shape for a long period of time. The two main buttons have some subtle comfort grooves, which tend to help fingers stay comfortable over even longer sessions of use.
Moving on to the measurements, the G305 is about 116.6 mm (4.59") long, which instantly puts it in the smaller category. The width is 62.15 mm (2.45") at the widest part, which can pretty much be the main gripping area depending on the user's gripping type. The height is about 38.2 mm (1.52") at the tallest point, and the hump is located more towards the back than the middle. I would say this mouse will mainly be comfortable for claw and fingertip grippers with about 16–21 cm long hands, but there of course always exceptions, depending on each individual's personal preferences. People with smaller-than-average hands may be able to comfortably palm-grip the G305.
