Build Quality

First off: I really tried my best opening this mouse, but frankly, I see no way of doing so without brute-forcing my way in. Therefore, I'm unable to provide any pictures or other details of the internals.

Overall build quality is solid. When shaking the mouse, a rattle comes from an indeterminable location. When applying lateral pressure, no creaking or flexing of the shell can be observed, and activating the side buttons by squeezing the sides isn't possible. Lastly, no accidental clicks occur when slamming the mouse down.

Buttons

Main buttons on the R.A.T. Pro X3 Supreme are excellent. Pre-travel is very low and post-travel is moderate, resulting in a snappy button response. While the buttons are separated from the shell, lateral button movement is barely present. Button stiffness is light, and the switches are from Omron.

Side buttons are alright. Pre-travel is large and post-travel low, but the actuation point isn't even close to being even, resulting in a poor experience overall. In fact, actuation is nearly impossible when pressing the back side button all the way at the back. Button placement and size is good as actuation is possible very easily by rolling one's thumb over these. However, the "precision aim" (sniper) button is placed right below the side buttons, which is exactly where the thumb would typically reside. As a result, not hitting said button all the time becomes the greatest challenge when using this mouse. The button itself has a nice click feel, however.

At the top of the mouse is a single button for cycling through the set CPI levels. Its click feel is good. On the bottom of the mouse is another button for cycling through the available profiles, and its quality is fine as well.

Scroll Wheel

The scroll wheel is alright. Scrolling up or down doesn't produce too much noise, and tactility is fairly good, but there's a grave design issue with the scroll wheel (middle) click. It has enormous pre-travel, which makes it incredibly difficult and frustrating to use during play. Coupled with the fact that the click itself requires a lot of force for actuation, the experience is poor overall.

Coating

The R.A.T. Pro X3 Supreme has a matte coating all over. It doesn't attract fingerprints, dirt, or the likes too much. It's easy to clean, and there are no signs of wear left after doing so. All in all, an excellent coating.
