Assembly
Installing a motherboard within the Metallic Gear Neo-G Mini is done by traditional means, and as it is the first thing you will add, there is plenty of room to do so and wire everything up. Once the PCIe ribbon cable is secured, you are also able to add the GPU to the mix.
Installing an SSD is pretty easy as well as you simply screw the drive into the plate which can then be put back unto the backside of the motherboard tray. Adding a 3.5" drive should be the next step, but even with a fully assembled system, you are easily able to to get to that spot as well.
Once the PSU is in place, the system is surprisingly clean. Sure, it is not comparable to a classic ATX case, but the area above the motherboard with the Velcro strips turns out to be invaluable when it comes to storing and hiding any cables, especially as Metallic Gear has placed a glass window on the Neo-G Mini.
Finished Looks
With everything turned on, the Metallic Gear Neo-G Mini is one of the most beautiful enclosure I have seen in a long time. I am a little bias, though, as I am a fan of clean designs, and Metallic Gear has done an excellent job of taking flat surfaces and adding depth, especially in the front of the chassis.
The LED fan in the front can clearly be seen shining through the cracks of the design, while the rear enables clean and easy access to both the PSU and vertically mounted GPUs. The light tint on the window means you can clearly see all the parts within, but Metallic Gear has added a print to the top left which covers the PSU bay in an organic and functional fashion without looking out of place. On the opposite side, you can see the hard drive through the dust-filtered-covered air vent.
