Board Software

Being a GAMING motherboard, I thought it prudent to show the GAMING software first. This simple utility will add a small overclock (similar clocks to the automated overclock shown earlier) to your CPU and memory, as well as your MSI VGA should you have taken the smart step of purchasing one of MSI's VGAs. I like this quick and simple interface, but I don't like that it requires you to reboot to enable those added clocks, which is due to a platform limitation, so whatever.

Command Center offers a bit more control over those overclocks, and monitoring capability. Fast Boot will get you into BIOS without any problems and allows you to adjust those Fast Boot options. The Gaming LAN Manager will let you configure LAN traffic prioritization should you want to take the time to set it up to your choice usage scenario.

There's the LED control for the Mystic Light features, Live Update 6 to keep your software, BIOSes (board and VGA), and utilities updated, while MCloud offers cloud-based stuffs.

I found three other MSI-branded software utilities: an MSI-branded version of CPU-Z, Intel's XTU software, and MSI's own RamDisk software, so you can play with the added storage speeds offered by it.

There are two other non-MSI software included; OBS streaming software instead of XSplit and a SteelSeries software that promises to do stuff with SteelSeries peripherals. Without any SteelSeries peripherals, I'm not sure about what the latter does. Perhaps, I'll have to ask MSI about that! :P
