Battery Life, Charging, Heat

The REDMAGIC 7S Pro's fan spins up automatically when the phone is charging to keep the battery cool under the high 65 W charging load. The 5000 mAh battery is a fair size for such a device, with the REDMAGIC 7S Pro expending 26% while running 3DMARK's Wild Life Extreme Stress Test. That equates to a minimum of an hour and twenty minutes of hardcore gaming before you need to plug the REDMAGIC 7S Pro back into its 65 W charger

During the 3DMARK Wild Life Stress test, the REDMAGIC 7 went from 30°C (idle) to 50°C (max) by the end of the test. The best loop scored 10806 while the lowest was 10623, giving an excellent stability rating of 98.3%. Seeing this increase in performance over nubia's past products exposes their focus on delivering the best possible gaming device while also showcasing how well the cooling design truly works. This cooling and the included fan are one of those features added in that other phones simply don't have, so it is nice to see it pay off here under such a brutal load scenario.

Camera Performance

The REDMAGIC 7S Pro features a 64 MP main camera lens. It is complimented by a 8 MP wide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens.

There are a host of options and features to let you get the most you can out of the provided camera. I was impressed to see a decent "Pro" section here as well as a bunch preset modes accessed by sliding left while the camera is active.

The camera on the REDMAGIC 7S Pro is not a major feature that nubia is pushing in their marketing. Be that as it may, the camera is more than capable as a daily device. I could probably use it to shoot the pictures I take for reviews, even, and that definitely makes me smile as it is jsut another way this phone meets my needs with its provided "Pro" section.
