  • The NZXT Avatar can be had for 49,90 € or $59.90 USD. That is the same price you pay for other high-end mice.
  • Well constructed
  • Can be used by right and left handed gamers
  • Well balanced weight for the average person
  • DPI switch LED
  • 7 programmable buttons
  • Hardware DPI switch, software independent
  • 2600 DPI laser
  • Solid, fully featured software
  • Very smooth movement
  • Rubber sides add to comfort and hold
  • Nicely designed package
  • Large, edgy side buttons
  • Hardware DPI switch requires the use of navigation buttons
  • May be a bit too lightweight for some
  • No custom weight system
  • Possibly too long USB cable
  • Package design may go under, next to the ones from other manufacturers
  • Manual / CD hard to find in the package
The NZXT Avatar is a great entry into the gaming mouse market. It delivers all the features we are used to from such input devices at this price point. The Avatar offers programmable buttons, which can be assigned with lengthy macros as well. The DPI setting can be adjusted all the way up to 2600 DPI with or without the software. All other functions and tweaking is done through the very solid and fully featured configuration application.
NZXT has also gone all out on the build quality, which is comparable to the likes of Razer, Logitech and Microsoft. If the mouse has one downside, it would be the large side buttons, but besides that the feel and handling of the Avatar is great, along with the well balanced weight and smooth Teflon feet.
