USB 3.0
Given the size, one cannot expect too much from the i-mini, but there should be an advantage over USB 2.0 drives because it is USB 3.0. Taking a look at ATTO, the i-mini clocks in at a very respectful 80 MB/s read and poor 11 MB/s write. HDTach shows a similar result across its entire flash memory.
In comparison to other USB 3.0 flash drives, the i-mini skulks around at the bottom of the charts because of its low numbers. I would have liked a higher write performance, maybe something in the 30 or 40 MB/s range, but PQI is clearly targeting users looking for a tiny drive instead.
USB 2.0
The PQI i-mini manages to saturate the aging USB 2.0 interface when it comes to read performance, but write performance takes another slight dip by clocking in just below 10 MB/s.
