Shape

Prior to release, the shape of the X2 has been compared to that of the Endgame Gear XM1r, which gives a good general idea, even though the two are decisively different. Unlike the XM1r, the X2 doesn't flare out at the back much at all, in fact staying roughly the same width across its entire length. While the hump is positioned more towards the back, it is not as large as on the XM1r, the latter of which feels bulkier as a whole. Towards the front, the X2 slopes down quite rapidly, which is similar to the XM1r, with the buttons sitting comparatively low as a result. Most importantly, and unlike on the XM1r, the sides barely curve in on the X2 and are almost entirely straight, whereas on the XM1r, the wider rear creates a much more pronounced curvature, similarly to the SteelSeries Sensei. While the differences between these two designs may seem subtle at first glance, the feel in hand is very different, and the X2 ends up feeling less restrictive in how it can be gripped. The main buttons feature moderately deep comfort grooves.

As for grip styles, I'd say the X2 mostly suits claw and fingertip grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the X2 very comfortable in claw grip.
