Packaging

Aside from the mouse, one finds a quick start guide, several stickers, and a carrying bag in the box. As a side note, FSC-certified sustainable packaging is used, without any plastics or non-recyclable materials in general.

Weight

My scale shows around 69 g (+/- 1 g), which is 2 g less than the weight Razer cites. Either way, the Viper 8K is indeed very light for its size, especially considering this is achieved without any visible holes.

Cable

The Viper 8K features a paracord-like, braided cable. Compared to the cable of the original wired Viper, the cable on the Viper 8K has more shielding to ensure signal integrity at 8000 Hz, resulting in worse flexibility. As such, when seeking to replace the stock cable, it is strongly recommended to use one with similarly strong shielding as unexpected behavior may otherwise be introduced, especially if external sources of interference, such as EMI, are present. Though flexibility isn't great, it's not that much worse than the cable on the Viper Mini overall, for example. I'd rate it as average. Its measured length is 1.80 m.

Feet

The feet on the Viper 8K are 100% pure PTFE (Teflon) feet. They are of above average thickness and glide very well. Compared to the original Viper, the shape of the feet remains unchanged. The ring around the sensor ensures CPI stays consistent upon applying vertical pressure.
