The Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 XT Pulse OC is the company's value-oriented custom-design card based on AMD's latest performance-segment GPU, with the other performance-oriented card from the brand being the NITRO+. The new RX 6600 XT is designed for the vast majority of gamers still playing at the Full HD (1080p) resolution with maxed out details, including real-time raytracing. It's cut from the same RDNA 2 cloth as the rest of the RX 6000 series. Sapphire pairs this with a low-noise optimized cooler and specifications closest to AMD reference, which means the card can be priced closest to the $379 baseline set by AMD.

The RX 6600 XT marks the debut on the "Navi 23" silicon to the DIY desktop space. The tiniest silicon based on the RDNA 2 graphics architecture, it still packs a mean feature set that includes 2,048 stream processors, 32 Ray Accelerators for real-time raytracing, 128 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and 8 GB of standard memory. This, however, is across a narrow 128-bit GDDR6 memory bus. AMD is running the memory at 16 Gbps (GDDR6-effective) and combining it with 32 MB of Infinity Cache on-die memory.

The Sapphire RX 6600 XT Pulse OC features a simple aluminium fin-stack cooler with a two-slot thick, dual-fan design. It also comes with a metal backplate. Some of the airflow from the cooler vents through the card and out the backplate. The Pulse OC features a negligible factory overclock to 2593 MHz, compared to the 2587 MHz reference, and Sapphire is pricing the card at $399, a $20 premium over the steep $379 starting price of the RX 6600 XT.
