Assembly
Installing the motherboard is done by traditional means, using spacers and screws. With the cable-routing openings perfectly placed, there is plenty of space along every edge of the board. You should run into no issues while installing both long GPUs and large air coolers.
The process of installing an SSD within the Armis AR7 depends on the location you choose to place it. For this review, we picked the metal shroud as it allows us to show it off nicely and doesn't block off any of the other mounting locations for other things. To do so, simply apply the rubber-ringed screws and slide the drive into place. Due to a well placed opening, you should have no issues plugging the drive in, either.
The 3.5" drives, on the other hand, require no tools or screws. Simply take the plastic tray, pull it apart, place the drive and squeeze it back together for the pins to hold it in place. Once done, slide the filled tray back into its original location until it snaps into place.
Adding a PSU is done by sliding it underneath the shroud and securing it with the included black screws. There is plenty of space for longer units, so filling the Armis AR7 with high-end hardware is definitely an option.
With everything installed, the interior of the chassis is extremely clean, and the backside continues that trend due to the excellent cable routing and management possibilities. In fact, the Armis AR7 is one of the cleanest-looking enclosures out there in its assembled state, which is great!
Finished Looks
With the panels back in place and the system turned on, the two buttons in front of the chassis light up with white rings. You can clearly see all the hardware inside the AR7 due to the lack of tint to the glass panel. In the rear, everything is where you would expect it, with a faint glow of the LED elements seeping through here and the top of the chassis.
You may cycle the chassis through various colors with the push of a button in the front of the chassis. There are seven distinct colors and a variety of animations.
