A Closer Look - Outside

Out of the box, the Silverstone SETA A1 looks very clean and understated. The only real design element consists of the curved aluminium panel that goes across from left to right at a slight angle, over the curved front panel with its soft round edges at the top and bottom. Silverstone has also placed a sticker on the front to educate the user about how to safely pull off the front panel.

Taking a look at the front, the Titanium Edition could be considered "cold steel" as well, as it has a gentle blue hue. The aluminium is brushed horizontally, and a subtle Silverstone logo has been put on the bottom of the panel. With a gentle tug, you may pull it off to reveal two black 200 mm fans set to pull air into the case through a large, removable dust-filter-covered opening. Silverstone is focusing on providing a solid front cover with the ability for these fans to draw in as much fresh air as possible. While the opening is great to see, the two angled RGB strips mean that the vent is not as big as it could have been if there were no RGB strips.

Taking a quick peek at the rear, the SETA A1 looks quite traditional from this angle. The glass side panel construction lacks mounting holes on the side for a nice, clean look. It also does not have a tint, so you will be able to clearly see all your hardware. The opposite side is made out of steel and completely solid, while also being held in place by two thumb screws.

The PSU bay in the bottom of the rear comes with two sets of mounting holes, so you may install your PSU any way you wish. Above that are the 7+2 expansion slots, each of which is protected by a removable cover that is held in place by classic screws. In the very top, you will find another 120 mm exhaust fan set to push hot air out the back of the SETA A1. It may be adjusted in height to have it perfectly align with your CPU cooler, for example.

In the top, the SETA A1 sports a metal panel with a magnetic dust filter that protects the top air vent from dust and grime. Here, you may install two 120 or 140 mm fans or officially go for liquid cooling of up to 240 mm. That having been said, I see no reason why a 280 mm radiator would not fit as well if you are feeling adventurous. Silverstone has equipped the SETA A1 with a single combo audio port, two USB 3.0, and a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connector. While the latter is awesome to have, the little square it sits in is a bit of an eye sore.

Tipping the chassis over, you can see the fully sized dust filter, which may be pulled out through the back while the system is upright for easy cleaning.
