The Silverstone SETA A1 is a tough sell. Not because it is overpriced or lacks functionality. At around $120 dollars, you get a very solid chassis and all the features ooze that functionality with a tried and trusted approach. Silverstone does not push the envelope of the SETA A1 at all in terms of the frame as the 3.5" HDD cages that may also hold 2.5" unit at the same time are the only engineering highlight, which results in an above average total of six possible storage drives within the chassis.

So from a price and functionality perspective, the case is able to deliver the norm one would expect in both quality and feature set, but the SETA A1 sports some very lofty marketing, like "assembled with premium materials, the SETA A1 is definitely a work of art to build and showcase in," while also touting subtle lighting and airflow. With the exception of the rose gold variant, as it is a rather rare color option, one could argue that the case won't stand out when turned on in a sea of other cases. The lighting is there, but is really subtle and comes at a bit of a compromise because it results in a smaller opening in the front than what could have possible been, which brings me to the airflow. Yes, it is there and works, but other cases with a similar setup were able to squeeze more out of it.

That having been said, the SETA A1 does offer a very nice high-quality aluminium front element and excellent dust filters, as well as higher-end connectivity, excellent component compatibility, and better storage than other options out there, which may justify the higher price in the minds of some who need all of that. For the vast majority though, there are too many other options out there that still fit the bill at a much lower price when it comes to some of the strong points mentioned above.
