The outer headband is made out of steel, which makes it extremely sturdy and beautiful-looking. Honestly, along with the Arctis 7 and Arctis Pro Wireless, this is the prettiest gaming headset I've ever seen, even without any aftermarket modifications in terms of replacement headbands and ear cushions. The gunmetal finish also adds a touch of luxury to the overall visual presentation. Every time you take the Arctis Pro into your hands, put it on your head, or just look at it as it is sitting on the table, you'll be well aware of where your hard-earned money went.
The elastic inner headband poses absolutely no strain to the top of the head. You can change its tension by adjusting the Velcro strap, but I don't think you'll feel the need to do so as the comfort level is constantly great. Add to that an exceptionally soft pair of ear cushions and a carefully adjusted clamping force, and what you get is an impressively comfortable headset, probably the most comfortable one I've ever had the pleasure of putting on my head.
The earcups can be rotated by 90°, which makes putting the headset flat against your chest (if we wear it around the neck) or on the table pretty easy. The joints that make it possible are smooth and silent. Instead of plastic, the ear cup hangers are made out of an aluminum alloy this time around. I certainly appreciate that SteelSeries went the extra mile to separate the new Arctis Pro lineup from their "regular" Arctis gaming headsets.
