Introduction
SteelSeries was founded in 2001, and they have been producing top-quality mouse pads ever since. Their QcK line-up of mouse pads is among the most well-known in the world, if it isn't at the very top of the list. In 2018, SteelSeries has added a lot of new products to the QcK palette, and in this review, I will show you the Edge and Heavy variants. The former is a standard QcK with stitched edges, while the Heavy models have increased thickness for maximum padding. Both are available in three different sizes.
Prelude
Many still don't realize how much of a positive impact a good mouse pad can have. If you really dig deep into mouse-pad theory, you will soon find out that it is an extremely intuitive and divisive topic. A casual user most probably won't care much about all the different kinds, but if you are a hardcore gamer or maximalist—or both—you will want the best one for your needs. There isn't such a thing as the objectively best mouse pad because such differences can be subtle; however, they can be ridiculously huge as well.
