Out of the handful of NUC cases out there, the Streacom NC1 is certainly one of the most compact passive units out there, so you may think it does not cool as well as a larger unit, but it actually does cool incredibly well, delivering some of the lowest numbers we have seen yet. All that and its modular design and the NUC board's readily accessible front USB connector make it a great choice for those looking to free their retail NUC board of its noisy default chassis. It also comes at a higher price, and you will have shell out a few extra bucks for such things as the WiFi antenna or VESA mount. But the Stracom NC1's quality, modularity, and overall engineering make it an excellent NUC chassis even so.
