Setup and DSM OS Overview

I should state here that no "j" Synology NAS servers thus far supports the docker package, which is a considerable disadvantage since the virtualization application allows for numerous containers (e.g., other application packages). However, should Synology decide to provide docker support for the Realtek CPUs in the future, the low amount of RAM will be a limiting factor.

Plex Performance

Since this NAS is mostly for home use, I assume most will be interested in its multimedia capabilities, which is why I devoted time to figuring out how it performs with Plex. To cut to the chase, I didn't encounter any problems with media in its original state since it doesn't need transcoding. At the same resolution as the original, there weren't any issues at all, even at higher bitrates. However, the CPU hit close to 100% utilization once I picked much lower resolutions.
