Value and Conclusion

  • The Team Group Diamond is available in 2, 4, 8 and 16 GB configurations. They carry a respective price tag of 9, 11, 17 and 29 €. Expect to see identical prices in US Dollars - but without tax.
  • Very compact
  • Metal casing available in multiple colors
  • Available with 2 to 16 GB capacity
  • ReadyBoost capable
  • Affordably priced
  • Interesting packaging
  • Not very sturdy
  • Rather slow performance
  • Packaging not very environmentally friendly - too large
  • Other drives of similar size and capacity may offer faster performance at the same price
The Team Group Diamond is a good looking and very compact USB flash drive. Those are the two biggest selling points of the device, which are further underlined by the fact that it is available in multiple colors and capacities. That said, the Diamond is not very fast. While it may not be far behind some alternatives like the Super Talent Pico as far as write performance, a read speed of just under 20 MB - while adequate - is nothing to brag about. On the upside, the Team Group Diamond sells for one or two Euros or Dollars less than the Super Talent Pico series drives. Thus, those who are looking to save as much money as possible or happen to get a good deal on the Diamond can grab one without hesitation.
