File Manager

The file manager allows you to create and edit all folders and files. You can also upload folders and files and set permissions through this app .

Recycle Bin

The recycle bin is an essential feature for any OS.

Remote Login

You can enable the remote login feature through this menu of options. TerraMaster offers the TNAS Desktop application over which you can access the files on an F2-220 server remotely for free.

Backup Manager

Backup functionality is very important to a NAS server. TOS offers Rsync backup options that are compatible with Apple's Time Machine. Lastly, you can backup the server's files to an external storage device.

Applications

Currently, only a handful of applications are available for the F2-220. These include the following: SVN server, Java Virtual Machine, Plex Media Server, DropBox sync, Clam AntiVirus, Media Server, Mail Server, iTunes Server, MySQL Server, and Download Center. As you can see, there is no surveillance app yet, which is a major disadvantage for those looking at this NAS for security applications.
