Surface

The top coating looks and feels exactly the same as the one used on the Iris Optical RGB. It's like a transition between a glossy and matte finish—not very grippy, it still wasn't slippery at all for me. As a plus, it doesn't collect fingertips or get grimy quickly. The paint has some tiny light-reflecting grains inside it, which looks pretty cool in my opinion.

Both sides of the mouse are equipped with rubber grips that are hexagonally textured. These provide a comfortable and sure grip for even longer gaming sessions. I had zero issues with it slipping during some very intense gaming, and I have some quite sweaty hands, especially now in the summer. The non-rubberized parts of these side panels are coated with a matte paint that is a bit rougher than the one used for the top of the shell. Lastly, the CPI changer and side buttons have a glossy black finish to them.

Build Quality

The build quality is absolutely solid; there is no rattling, squeaking, or creaking even when the mouse is gripped very firmly or shook hard. There is some minor springy noise due to the main buttons when I tap the mouse against my mouse pad. It is probably due to some factory tolerances between the stems of the main buttons and the plungers of the micro switches, which is really not a deal breaker.

Weight

The Ventus X Optical RGB is a big mouse, which means it isn't very light at around 103-104 grams with a few centimeters of cable, yet there is the possibility to add more weight to it (these weights are actually in by default). There are three, individual weights of 4.5 grams each that can be added once we remove the cover at the bottom of the mouse. With all of them added, the mouse weighs approximately 118-119 grams. I would personally advise against putting these in—your wrist joints will thank you for using a lighter mouse over the long run.
