Buttons, Scroll Wheel

The main buttons have a moderately high tension, but are definitely tactile and spammable, and none feel overly stiff or mushy. I could compare them to the clicks of the Zowie EC-series, but the Ventus X Optical RGB's main buttons may even feel just a hair better. Some people prefer mouse buttons with more tension, while others prefer less. I am the in the latter group, so these clicks were a bit too heavy for me at first, but it wasn't hard to get used to them after only a few hours. The good news is that they have absolutely no noticeable pre or post travel. The switches are the very commonly used D2FC-F-7N(20M)s manufactured by Omron. They have a nominal lifespan of 20 million clicks, which may vary as it is impossible to thoroughly quality check each and every micro switch in a batch.

The scroll wheel feels fantastic; its steps are well-defined yet easy to scroll through—I wasn't surprised when I saw it use an Alps scroll-wheel encoder. The wheel itself is great as well; the main rubberized part feels pleasant to the touch and eliminates accidental slips.

As per usual, the middle mouse button is a little bit tighter than the main buttons, so there won't be any accidental clicks while scrolling. It is still very comfortable to use since it isn't extremely stiff. The switch used here is made by TTC.

The CPI button requires a bit less force to actuate than all the other buttons, and again, there is no pre or post travel here either. The button itself sticks out quite a bit, but I did not have issues with it being in the way while palm-gripping or claw-gripping the mouse. The switch used here is one I am not familiar with.

Both side buttons use a micro switch with a branding I do not recognize. These have about twice the operating force of the main buttons, which has these take quite a lot of pressure to actuate. The buttons themselves are very nice as there is no pre-travel here either, and they feel good and tactile. I have to say that Tt eSPORTS has really improved their button game over the past few years. I am very impressed by the ones on the Ventus X Optical RGB.

I also made a video in order to demonstrate how the buttons sound:

Cable

Unfortunately, the cable is very stiff, thick, and braided. This should not be too much of an issue with a mouse bungee, but without it, I definitely recommend taping it against the side of the monitor, speakers, or wall behind the computer desk because it really doesn't flex. It is 1.8 meters long, and the USB connector is gold-plated.

Mouse Feet

The Ventus X Optical RGB glides on three relatively large mouse feet with a moderate amount of friction. The problem with these is that they are very thin, which means they are not going to last very long, and on softer cloth mouse pads, the underside of the mouse itself is going to touch the surface, causing scratching and an uneven glide. I don't know why they overlooked this issue, but think it definitely needs some fixing. Of course, one could simply switch these out for thicker skates.

Disassembling

The mouse can be disassembled after removing four screws in total, which are located beneath the mouse feet. The upper shell does not have any electronics, and the bottom PCB is separated into three pieces.
