ZOTAC's cooler is a simple slab of metal with a fan spinning in the middle. We have seen it on numerous other cards from ZOTAC before.
An additional power connector is not required.
The DDR3 (not GDDR3) memory chips are made by Samsung, and carry the model number K4W1G1646E-HC11. They are specified to run at 900 MHz (1800 MHz DDR3 effective).
Richtek's RT9259 is a simple, cost-effective voltage regulator without too many features, making it very affordable. Price is king in this segment, so it comes as no surprise that I2C voltage control is not available.
NVIDIA's new GF108 graphics processor is made on a 40 nm process at TSMC Taiwan and is based on NVIDIA's Fermi architecture just like the more powerful GF100 on the GTX 480, for example. It uses approximately 585 million transistors. Unlike its other high-end Fermi brothers, there is no heatspreader present. The die area is roughly 114 mm² in size - half that of GF106.
