The Zotac Zone comes with two USB4 ports. Both ports support full 40 Gbit/s bandwidth, and you can use either to charge the device. We usually used the bottom one to charge the handheld while gaming, which was so much better than dealing with a cable that bends under dangerous angles when connected to the topside USB port.
Wireless performance is excellent. Testing the device on our 500 Mbit/s internet plan, we got results ranging between ~330 Mbit/s and 400+ Mbit/s, which aligns with what we're getting with our ROG Ally. Downloading Steam games was very snappy, with average download speeds of about 400 Mbit/s.
Local game streaming via Moonlight worked wonderfully. The only issue we encountered was stuttering when we first launched Moonlight, but after restarting the app, we didn't experience any stuttering, slowdowns, or low bandwidth warnings. Overall, the Zotac Zone offers fantastic wireless performance and provides a superb local game streaming experience.
Battery Life
The 48.5 Wh battery lasted less than one hour at 30 W, which is pretty disappointing. That said, thanks to the Zone's excellent power scaling, you can comfortably play many games at 15 W, allowing you to extend the battery life to almost 2 hours.
Still, a larger cell would've gone a long way in making the Zone more suited for portable play. Right now, all we can say about the battery life is that it's poor, but not poor enough to call it dismal.
